Today we did a lot of wrapping up! It's was my second to last day, so there was a lot to be done in a short time.
To conclude our poetry unit, I decided to have an authors circle, so the kids could share their poems. I had everyone choose their favourite poem of all the ones they have written so far to share with the class. Although not everyone wanted to share, we had many brave souls get up and read their beautiful poems!
We also did our presentations for our Community Worker Lapbooks today! Over the last couple weeks, the kids have been working on their own project about a selected community worker. They were allowed to choose a worker of their choice and interview them. They had to use this interview and create a fun, interactive project out of it. It was a nice spin on a community worker research project!
